More About Alisha:
Alisha Bennett(she|her) aka 션영 is a transracial, transnational Korean Adoptee with citizenship, who identifies as a cisgender woman.
Alisha lives in love in Brooklyn, NY with her husband and 5 year old daughter.
Experience: Alisha is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker(LCSW) in New York State. Alisha is a dedicated social worker whose career has been woven into the fabric of New York City's public education system since 2007. With a foundation laid in both elementary and middle school settings, she has accumulated nearly 20 years of invaluable experience working with children, adolescents, parents, families, and the systems that shape their lives. Her journey has been marked by a passion for special education, children with disabilities, and fostering mental health in educational environments.
In 2016, Alisha embarked on a new chapter, joining a prominent private practice in New York City, where she expanded her professional repertoire until 2019, at which time she took a bold step in January 2020, establishing her own small private practice. This venture allowed her to maintain a dual focus, balancing her commitment to school-based social work with a more personalized approach to therapy.
January 2024 marked the inception of Integrative Psychotherapy, where she hopes to blend her extensive experience with a forward-looking approach. Eager to embrace emerging modalities, she has completed Psychedelic Assisted Therapy therapy training. As a certified provider, she is driven by the profound belief in the healing potential of this therapeutic approach. Alisha is excited to integrate psychedelic therapy into her practice, viewing it as a transformative tool in her mission to promote true authentic healing.
